Summer Strawberries

I saw this idea on Bake 350 and knew I needed to create these. They are almost too pretty to eat. I had a lot of fun creating them. I haven't had time to get out and pick some real Michigan strawberries yet, so these will have to do for now.

All packaged up and ready to go!

leahs wedding

What a great wedding Leah and Nick had! Everything went beautifully. Despite the high temperatures, everything held up great. For this dessert buffet I did 200 cupcakes-strawberry with strawberry buttercream, chocolate with vanilla buttercream, and white (tinted purple) with vanilla buttercream. I also did the bride and groom cake on top-funfetti with vanilla buttercream. Yummy! (I tested the leftovers) The cookies that I made included white chocolate cherry shortbread, peanut butter chocolate deluxe, shortbread with chocolate bottoms with a monogramed "W" stamped in, Oreo Truffles, Chocolate Chip, brownies, and sugar cookies. The candy assortment included all the best! I did all of it and it was tons of fun! Her colors were dark purple which I was able to incorporate into some of the candy and design elements. I stenciled a purple flower design along the top boxes just to give an extra touch of color. My dad made the cupcake stand for me, which worked out perfectly. It will definetly get lots of use!
